Janelle Zweber, Harbor Memory Care Director
I have always had the desire to help people. I thrive on connection and relationships with others. When I was younger, I worked with children through the county social services department. The kids came from different backgrounds and had many different behavioral expressions. That led me to go to school and get my degree in social behaviors. When I was older, my dementia training came from hands-on experience with my grandma. During that time, I entered the Assisted Living field as a care partner and have progressed from there. I love building relationships with my staff, the residents, and their families. It is my goal to see them all successful. I am constantly learning. Every day is different, which keeps it challenging and rewarding.
“Working with older adults has taught me that everything we go through can teach us something. Life is hard and our experiences will help us navigate challenges in the future.”
“The best part of getting older is learning to accept who I am, even my flaws. I’m inspired to continue to help others and find joy in the small things.”
